At a time when some local businesses are feeling the pinch from the economic downturn, Caribbean-American entrepreneurs are stabilizing their businesses by capitalizing on their skill sets and weathering the storm.

They know how to pick themselves up, dust themselves off and keep moving. These business owners are industrious and resilient, and they reaffirm timeless lessons learned from experiences in their homeland by living with bare necessities and looking at the glass half full instead of half empty.
