The win was the team’s first-ever victory in Kansas City, having gone 0-4-1 all-time previously at the Wizards (0-5-1 including playoffs).
Chivas USA forward Justin Braun scored both goals for the red-and-white Saturday night at Community America Ballpark in Kansas City. The win was the first for Chivas USA in Major League Soccer (MLS) regular season action since a 4-0 victory at the New England Revolution on May 5th.
Braun scored after 56 and 87 minutes as Chivas USA claimed a much needed win for Head Coach Martín Vásquez.
Next up for Chivas USA: The team returns to The Home Depot Center on Thursday, July 15 at 7:30 p.m. PT in the team’s 2010 SuperLiga debut against Puebla F.C. of the Mexican First Division.
