I want you to consider the question and really sit in quiet reflection to allow the answer to surface

I thought about the initial vision, mission, goals and objectives. I made notes about the visionary leader who formed this firm. I even took time to pray to make certain that the solution I would recommend was the REAL solution to the REAL problem.
In retracing the milestones leading to the current problem, I found that the leader may have forgotten some key foundational points. It was a result of my considering those points, that I opted to share a book recommendation and ask the basic question, why aren’t you rich? This is not a rhetorical statement, but my sincere desire to challenge you to consider and answer this question with honesty.
In 1910, author Wallace D. Wattles published a book entitled, “The Science of Getting Rich: Financial Success Through Creative Thought;” this book a classic, reflects the principles espoused in many current tomes.
The very first chapter, The Right To Be Rich begins with the opening statement, “Whatever may be said in praise of poverty, the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life unless one is rich.[i]”
With that, I ask again why aren’t you rich? I want you to consider the question and really sit in quiet reflection to allow the answer to surface. I could suggest several reasons based on my observations why several people are not rich, the first reason is that they are not trying to become rich.
People have come to rationalize that being rich is a negative state of existence, when in fact riches obtained through monetizing the God given gifts and talents you possess is what was purposed for your life. Burying your talents or the failure to share them with humanity is slothful, not honorable.
Don’t you realize that by not earning the full potential that you are capable of, you are not contributing the fullness of your gifts to humanity? Our current economic depression, or double-dip recession as the spin doctors like to claim, would not be so far reaching and devastating if more entrepreneurs could have maximized their wealth building capabilities during the past growth cycles.
I recently shared with a colleague, that it doesn’t matter how many strategies I develop to illustrate the process of improving and creating a profitable firm if the business owner doesn’t believe it’s possible, the results will not manifest. Therefore, the “right” to be rich has to be the starting place in the foundation building process to ensure that the business is built upon solid footings.
This reminds me of an article I penned in 2005 where I gave a simple formula to generate $1 million dollars in gross revenues in 90-days. What was amazing was that I had no one to take me up on the possibility.
I wondered why and until recently began to understand that I cannot share how to generate a $1 million dollars with an audience not really trying to accomplish that goal. I might as well be writing to an English reading and writing audience in French, as the words and details are on the page but the majority of the audience can’t translate the message.
This month I close by asking you to invest in becoming rich; I challenge you to go out and make the less than ten dollar investment in the book and begin the journey towards your riches!
Remember, if you have specific questions regarding raising capital, equity and debt financing, or other business management issues, please send me an email.
To your prosperity!
