The group is scheduled to play in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, California, Seattle, Washington and Las Vegas.
As set musicians, The Skatalites backed singers from Alton Ellis, Ken Boothe, Delroy Wilson to Jimmy Cliff.
Formed in 1964, the musicians have been playing together as a studio band for the greatest producers such as Coxsone Dodd, Duke Reid and Vincent Chin and are now ready to take Ska into the new century with a nationwide tour.
The Echoes of Kingston tour, which kicked off March 30th in Texas will head north to New Mexico and Colorado, with play dates in Arizona, California, Seattle and Washington. The tour will wrap at the Viva Ska Vegas event in Las Vegas.
Along the way, The Skatalites band, which consists of the finest musicians in reggae will play with Keysor Soze, Los Skarnales, The Sentiments, The Georgetown Orbitse, The Delirians and reggae legends Norma Fraser and Junior Toots, son of legendary hit-maker Toots Hibbert of the Maytals.
