Rodney King found dead in swimming pool
King, whose beating by Los Angeles Police in 1992 sparked riots after the acquittal of four officers, is dead at 47.
RIALTO, Calif. – Sunday, June 17, 2012 – Rodney King was found unconscious at the bottom of his swimming pool Sunday, according to authorities. Attempts to revive him was unsuccessful and King was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Police in Rialto received a 911 call from a resident at King’s home (presumed to be his fiancee).
