NAFCA 2016: Red Carpet Highlights

NAFCA, also known as Nollywood & African Film Critics’ Awards, celebrates African cinema and culture.

Nollywood celebrated its biggest night of the year with the 6th annual NAFCA show held at the historic Alex Theater in Glendale, Calif.

With celebrity cohosts Michael Adegoke and Claudia Jordan at the helm, the 2016 Nollywood & African Film Critics’ Awards red carpet brought out the biggest names in entertainment.

Donning sleek tuxedos and glamorous gowns, some of several celebrities in attendance included Grammy & NAACP nominated Percussionist Victor Orlando, actors Patrick Faucette, (“The Haves and the Have Nots”), Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs (“Roots”), Reatha Grey (“Chocolate City”), NAFCA nominated actors Trae Ireland (“Chocolate City”), Brely Evans (“Being Mary Jane”), singer Angel Ng and NAFCA President and CEO Dr. Victor Olatoye and many more.

NAFCA honors were given to The Ooni of Ife, Ted Mills, Gov. Benedict Ayade, Prophet Jeremiah O. Fufeyin, Kester Ezuma and actor Reginald Dorsey who received NAFCA’s prestigious Image Award. With musical performances by soul crooner Keith Washington, South Africa’s V4MUSIK, Angel Ng performed during the memoriam segment.
