Pink to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award

Since her debut in 2000, she has released six studio albums, 1 greatest hits album, sold over 42 million albums, over 75 million singles, over 2.4 million DVDs worldwide.

PinkMTV today announced that the 2017 “VMAs” will bestow Pink with its highest honor, the “31.”

The singer/songwriter who is known for rebellious nature and outlandish outfits has created some of the most memorable pop songs and music videos of our time from “Don’t Let me Get Me” and “Try,” to “F**kin’ Perfect”  and “Trouble.” She joins the prestigious list of past Vanguard recipients including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Peter Gabriel, Guns N’ Roses, Beastie Boys, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Kanye West and Rihanna.

Known for lighting up the stage with acrobats and evocative live shows, she will perform live from the  Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.  Since her debut in 2000, she has released six studio albums, 1 greatest hits album, sold over 42 million albums, over 75 million singles, over 2.4 million DVDs worldwide.
