LD Entertainment acquires Sarah Rothschild Spec “The Sleepover”

LD will fully finance the production and is targeting early 2019 for principal photography

LD Entertainment announced they have purchased the rights to Sarah Rothschild’s family adventure spec “The Sleepover.” The script was featured on the 2017 Black List.

The story follows a brother and sister who realize that there may be way more to their stay-at-home mom than meets the eye when a team of highly skilled thieves break into their home and kidnap their parents. Siblings Kevin and Clancy then embark on a rescue mission that reveals their mother’s biggest secret: her past life as an international spy.

LD will fully finance the production and is targeting early 2019 for principal photography. Mickey Liddell, Pete Shilaimon, and Jennifer Monroe will produce. This is the third script on LD’s slate that was featured on the Black List in the last two years.

The film’s screenwriter Sarah Rothschild currently has another project titled “24-7” in development at Universal with Kerry Washington and Eva Longoria starring.

Rothschild is repped by Verve and Myman Greenspan Fineman Fox Rosenberg & Light. LD Entertainment is repped by attorney Eric Thompson.
