AFI Awards celebrates the year’s most outstanding achievements

The AFI Awards celebrates the year’s most outstanding achievements in the art of the moving image – with 10 films and 10 television programs deemed culturally and artistically significant.

The American Film Institute is an American film organization that educates filmmakers and honors the heritage of the motion picture arts in the United States and at their annual AFI Awards  celebrates the year’s most outstanding achievements in the art of the moving image – with 10 films and 10 television programs deemed culturally and artistically significant.

The event, which was held Friday in Hollywood, is undoubted the most relaxed of the season: Everyone arrives a winner, there are no red carpet interviews and no one is required to give a speech. “The game is, there is no game. You have won,” AFI President Bob Gazzale told the crowd.
