Caribpress attends TLC’s ‘Too Close To Home’ screening

The series follows a young woman who is forced to return to her trailer-park beginnings after her political career is derailed by a sex scandal.

TLC recently hosted an exclusive screening of their first-ever scripted series, “Tyler Perry’s Too Close to Home” at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.

Show creator/director/writer Tyler Perry and TLC president and general manager Nancy Daniels were on hand to present the first episode and participate in a post-screening Q&A with cast members Heather Locklear,  Danielle Savre (“Bring It On: All or Nothing”), Brock O’Hurn (Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween), Kelly Sullivan (“The Young and the Restless”), Matt Battaglia, Brooke Anne Smith (“Awkward”) and Brad Benedict (“NCIS”).

The series cast in attendance included Ashley Love-Mills (“Nashville”), Annie Thrash, Alpha Trivette (“Drop Dead Diva”), Nick Ballard, Charles Justo, Trisha Rae Stahl (“Glee”), Christian Ochoa, Curran Walters, Robert Craighead and Justin Gabriel.

The series debuts Monday, August 22 at 9PM ET/PT for a two-hour premiere.
