Christian Film Festival announces lineup

The Kingdomwood International Film Festival will kick off  Thursday, October 3, through Sunday, October 6 and will be held at the First Christian Church of Atlanta in Georgia.

Kingdomwood International Film FestivalThe annual event which screens Christian films from all over the world has announced its program slate.

Within the four days, there will be a 48Hr Film Competition, movie premieres a comedy Show and an Award Presentation. In addition, there will be an all-day movie screening, workshop discussions, master classes, live presentations and script analysis.

The festival will kick-off the afternoon of Thursday, October 3, with Kingdomwood and the REEL Experience Studios’  48-hour film challenge, focusing on showcasing the authentic, artistic voices of filmmakers. Seven teams will have 48 hours to create a 5-7 minute short film on-site.

Thursday evening, Kingdomwood will be sponsoring a complimentary Dual Red-Carpet Movie Premiere at 7:00 pm. Guests will be able to choose between the following movies: “Max Winslow and the House of Secrets,” or “The Freshman.”

Kingdomwood’s keynote speaker, Ric Reitz, an actor, writer, composer, director and producer who has been active in show business for more than 40 years is scheduled to speak on Friday, October 4, at 10 am.

Friday evening, starting at 7:30 pm, there will be a Red-Carpet Comedy Show moderated by Bob Cleveland and performances by comedians Laura Little and Jonathan Nicolas.

On Saturday, at 11:00 am, couples will have a once in a lifetime experience to participate in an improv theater with actors LaParee Young and Jen Harper from the hit show “Greenleaf.”
