“Supporting positive dialogues and encouraging broader awareness into what we do as men,” says Oyelowo

David OyelowoIcon Mann focuses on changing the dialog surrounding black men and was created in 2014 in observance of the Black History Month.

This year, the two day event had panels that focused on the international value of minority helmed films and the characterizations of how black men have been represented in film and television.
