Gladys Knight releases dance single

“Most of the singles I’ve released prior to ‘Just A Little’ were ballads. I wanted something new. Something that we could dance to,” shares Knight.

She’s best known for the soulful classics she recorded during the 60’s and 70’s for both the Motown and Buddah Records labels. Hits such as the Grammy-winning “Midnight Train to Georgia” and “Neither One of Us” with her group Gladys Knight & the Pips. Now the seven-time Grammy award winning icon is releasing a dance single titled “Just A Little.”

The single, which is slated for release on Friday, September 25th, serves as the lead single from her 12th solo studio album she plans to release in 2016. It’s an album which she worked with producer S1 to craft (he’s known for hits such as Kanye West’s “Power” and Beyonce’s “Best Thing I Never Had”).

“We just wanted to have fun,” says Knight. “Most of the singles I’ve released prior to ‘Just A Little’ were ballads. I wanted something new. Something that we could dance to.”
