Image Awards Submission Deadlines Approaching

The eligibility period for all projects is January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016.

The NAACP Image AwardsThe NAACP Image Awards sets the submission dates for its 48th Awards.

At the 47th NAACP Image Awards ceremony, held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, the primetime show ”Black-ish” swept the awards slate winning accolades in the television category for Outstanding TV Comedy and lead actor award for its stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. Actors Michael B. Jordan and O’Shea Jackson Jr. both took home multiple awards and other award recipients included John Legend who took home the President’s Award, Regina King, Queen Latifah, Sanaa Lathan  and Taraji P. Henson.

The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the accomplishments of people of color in the fields of television, music, literature and film, and also honors individuals or groups who promote social justice through creative endeavors.

Submissions for the 48th NAACP Image Awards can be submitted at www.naacpimageawards.net in the categories of motion picture, television, recording, and literature.

The eligibility period for all projects is January 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. In addition, motion picture category projects (and individual achievements within it) must have been initially released and distributed in the U.S. with a minimum commercial theatrical run in Los Angeles or New York for seven (7) consecutive days.
