James Franco snags a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

In anticipation of the release of his new film, “Oz the Great and Powerful,” Franco received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the El Capitan Theater.

James Franco is the latest actor to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 34-year-old actor was joined by his younger brother Dave Franco, their mom Betsy, and his “This Is The End” co-star Seth Rogen who presented him with the accolade at the star presentation ceremony in Hollywood.

“It’s super weird to be giving these things to someone you are friends with,” said Rogen as he presented the star to Franco. “I have known Franco since I was 16 years old and its nice to see that he has done so well and he is really a great actor.”

Franco has been busy traveling to promote his new movie “Oz the Great and Powerful.” The movie’s director, Sam Raimi, also made it to the ceremony to support Franco.

“Its a weird experience but its a good one,” shared Franco on the star. “I want to thank the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the City of  Los Angeles as its something I didn’t expect. It’s a huge honor which I really can’t comprehend right now.”

He also thanked  Disney and everyone who was involved with the movie  “Oz the Great and Powerful.”  A film he called “a once in a lifetime experience.”
