Tom Hanks returns to ‘Da Vinci Code’ trilogy

Titled “Inferno” the film releases in theaters October 28, 2016

InfernoSony Pictures has debuted the first official teaser forAcademy Award winner Ron Howard’s adaptation of Dan Brown’s “Inferno.”

Once again starring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon, this is the next film in the trilogy also featuring “The Da Vinci Code” and “Angels & Demons,” which were directed by Ron Howard starring Tom Hanks.

“Inferno,” which finds the famous symbologist Robert Langdon(Hanks) on a trail of clues tied to the great Dante himself.  When Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia, he teams up with Sienna Brooks (Felicity Jones), a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories.  Together, they race across Europe and against the clock to foil a deadly global plot.

The film’s screenplay is by David Koepp, based upon the novel by Dan Brown. Brian Grazer and Ron Howard are the producers.

The film releases in theaters October 28, 2016
