Scarlett Johansson receives a Hollywood Star

The 27 year old actress who stars in the highly anticipated movie “The Avengers” receives a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In anticipation of the release of her new film Marvel’s “The Avengers,” which releases in theaters May 4th, Scarlett Johansson received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of Madame Tussauds, located on Hollywood Blvd.

Johansson, who play  Agent Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, one of the world’s greatest spies and assassins said of the honor: “When I was told I was getting this star, I thought to myself, man, I really made it to the big time. No matter what happens from here on out, I made my mark, I’m here to stay, and my family for generations to come will always be able to visit me right here, always. What a deeply, deeply touching gift.”

Johansson, a four-time Golden Globe nominee and BAFTA winner whose films include “We Bought a Zoo,” “Iron Man 2” and “Lost in Translation,” was joined by Avengers co-star Jeremy Renner who plays Hawkeye in the movie. Johansson, recently wrapped production on the independent film “Under the Skin” which is directed by Jonathan Glazer.
