Creator Ava DuVernay will tackle the COVID-19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protest movement that swept the country in upcoming episodes.
Created by Ava DuVernay, the series chronicles the stirring relationship of one couple, with each episode spanning a single day.
The drama is set for a February 2020 premiere on OWN.

DuVernay, will receive the Foundation’s two Patron of the Artists Awards of the night.
The overwhelming response to the series was also evident each week on social media demonstrating the strong connection viewers have to seeing multi-faceted portrayals of an African-American family on television.
The series stars Michael K. Williams, Niecy Nash and Blair Underwood and airs on Netflix May 31st.
In a panel moderated by AAFCA founder/president Gil Robertson, the event will explore the roles of Tendo Nagenda and Alana Mayo, two major Black creative executives in Hollywood.
Joshua Jackson and Christopher Jackson have also been tapped to star.
The short film features Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, Don Cheadle, Regina King, David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Andre Holland, Michael Ealy and Glynn Turman.
Created by Ava DuVernay, the series chronicles the notorious case of five teenagers of color who were convicted of a rape they did not commit.
Govan’s film about the lives of three Bahamians living with HIV was an official selection at the Bahamas International Film Festival.
Ava DuVernay’s adaption of “A Wrinkle in Time” opened in second place with $33.3 million.
