Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao are three islands near the coast of Venezuela that are so far out of the hurricane belt that the likelihood of them experiencing a tropical storm is very low.

A dead green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas)—an endangered species—was found tangled in Sargassum on the island of Barbados on 8 June.
