Beginning Thursday, April 15, 2021, all Californians aged 16 and up will be eligible to receive at least one of the three authorized COVID-19 vaccines. Vaccination along with social distancing, wearing a mask, and frequent hand washing, are the best tools to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

The new guidance also allows fully vaccinated individuals to forgo testing and quarantining.

President Biden’s announcement comes after he set a goal of vaccinating 1.5 million people every day.

$400 million has been earmarked for Early Childhood Education, and $1.5 billion has been set aside for special education. Newsom noted that he was a special education student.
