Talking Tupac: Caribpress catches up with Demetrius Shipp Jr

“All Eyez on Me” is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on Friday 16th June.

In less than a month, the long awaited biopic about hip-hop artist Tupac Shakur will hit theaters.

Directed by Benny Boom, the film will profile actor, poet and activist Tupac’s early days in New York to his status as one of the world’s most recognized and influential voices.

Actor Demetrius Shipp Jr., who bears an uncanny resemblance to the rapper, plays Tupac in the biopic, which also stars Zimbabwean actress Danai Gurira (“Black Panther,” “Mother of George”) as his mother Afeni Shakur. Demetrius Shipp Jr. stars in ALL EYEZ ON ME Photo: Quantrell Colbert
