The Caribbean comes to Las Vegas-“1st Caribbean Fridays”

First Fridays Beginning Friday, March 4, 2011 consists of Southern California Premiere Caribbean DJ, providing all of the latest and popular music from the Caribbean, NY, L.A. and Miami

The Caribbean comes to Las Vegas! The Grand Opening of “1st Caribbean Fridays” will occur the first Friday of each month and takes place inside of the Aruba Hotel located at 1215 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, Nevada 89104. This monthly affair will cater to an untapped portion of the Las Vegas Cultural community which has been steadily growing over the past two decades.

“1st Caribbean Fridays” will consist of Southern California’s premiere Caribbean DJ, Flash aka The Party General, providing all of the latest and popular music from the Caribbean, NY, L.A. and Miami. Alongside The Party General each month will be special guest DJs as well as birthday celebrations, Caribbean vendors and much more. The monthly series will lead into the special event in June 2011, which has been designated as Caribbean Heritage Month. The event, called Wet Fete Weekend, will be an annual event and will occur the last weekend of the month. This will be a 3-events, 2-days, 1-venue (i.e. at the same location) affair which will draw Caribbean lovers from across the nation. World-renowned DJ, Darryl “D’Life” Payne from New York via Trinidad, will be the special guest DJ.

“1st Caribbean Fridays” has been received thus far with great anticipation from both communities in Las Vegas as well as Los Angeles. The event has already been mentioned in Los Angeles on the award winning KTTV morning show, “Good Day L.A.” as the must-attend event to look out for in Las Vegas. It has also been advertised in numerous local publications, media and internet sites which cater to the Las Vegas community.
