Tye Tribbett to host GMA Dove Awards

The Gospel Music Association (GMA) celebrate the contributions of artists from every style of Christian/Gospel music.

With a  sixth album “Bloody Win” in works and hosting duties of the new BET inspirational series “Joyful Noise” which premieres on Sunday, October 9 on BET,Two-Time Grammy award winner singer Tye Tribbett  is having a great year.

tyeThe Gospel Music Association (GMA) just announced Tribbett along with award winning duo for King & Country will host the 47th Annual GMA Dove Awards. The awards show will take place on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena in Nashville. Founded in 1964, the Gospel Music Association serves as the face and voice for the Gospel/Christian music community and is dedicated to exposing, promoting and celebrating the Gospel

The GMA Dove Awards celebrate the contributions of artists from every style of Christian/Gospel music. Nominees are determined by over 1,600 professional members, and winners will be voted on by the entire GMA membership of nearly 2,500. Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) will exclusively air the awards show on Sunday, October 16. Tribbett is the son of two preachers and honed his skills as a keyboardist by accompanying such regional notables as Steve Middleton and the Tri-State Mass Choir of the Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Seminar.  He has sold over 1.1 million records worldwide in his career and has won two Grammy Awards, four Stellar Gospel Music Awards, two GMA Dove Awards and a Soul Train Music Award. To date and  he has released five albums Life, Victory Live, Stand Out, Fresh, and Greater Than – with the latter four landing at #1 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart.
