Wesley Snipes stars in NBC’s ‘The Player’

The action packed thriller premieres on NBC on Thursday.

Fresh off his return to the big screen in the ensemble “The Expendables,” Snipes, who is best known for his action role as a vampire slayer in the “Blade” films, will star on America’s NBC Network action show, “The Player” which premieres this Thursday.

An action-packed Las Vegas thriller about a high stakes, crime-fighting game, the show follows a former military operative turned security expert (Philip Winchester) at the center of a high-stakes game, where people gamble on his ability to stop crime from happening. Wesley Snipes co-stars as the pit boss.

A master in the martial arts, Snipes got his big career break with a role in the 1986 Goldie Hawn film “Wildcats” and was in an  episode of the hit NBC series “Miami Vice.” His past films include; “White Men Can’t Jump,” “Passenger 57,” “Demolition Man,” “Money Train,” “The Fan,” “Rising Sun,” and the memorable role of Nino Brown, a rising drug dealer he played in the film “New Jack City.”
